The dramatic ambience and fashionista crowd at Mantra almost overshadows the stunning French-Indian fusion cuisine served up my chef Thomas John but his classic culinary instincts and clever use of spices ultimately prevails at this fine-dining must where Boston’s Downtown Crossing and Theatre District intersect. The décor is breathtaking. This former bank from the 1800s has been transformed into an avant-garde masterpiece with its Italian marble walls and floors, halogen lights and saffron-colored silk drapery that makes seem like an experiential journey of the senses. Chain mail curtains and stepped tables evoke multiple rooms in the Beaux-Arts marble hall of the Old Colony Bank.
Tip: Gentlemen, the urinals are disguised as ice machines. Ladies, your privacy is secure: the glass is one-way.

This trendy Theatre District hotspot is the go-to place for singles looking to bust a move. The DJ specializes in mash-ups—or mixes of songs that couple current hits with familiar old-school tunes. The ambience of the Gypsy Bar is this nightclub's calling card with its half-moon booths, mood lighting and a circular fish tank full of jellyfish. One caveat: The Gypsy Bar has a velvet rope, so be prepared to wait in a long line (unless you’re a Paris Hilton’s look-alike). This used to be Pravda 116 before it changed to Gypsy Bar. Come dressed to impress for this Theatre District hotspot does not allow you in unless you look the part.

My favorite place to be is the super secluded balcony in the upper right hand corner of Suite, Boston's boutique lounge. Owned by the Kane brothers, Suite is a mini version of its big sister The Estate - the youngest being the better looking. And well, as for looks, Suite is the place to be for the attractive young people of Boston. Its small intimate nooks over look the dance floor but if you look straight ahead you'll catch a glimpse of girls dancing on any elevated free space they can get their hands on. I don't know what it is about this place, but when it comes to the suites letting loose and getting wild with their Euro counterparts then Suite knocks all its competitors out of the game.
Don't forget to take a look way up on top, you'll see a hidden DJ both which usually hosts the young talent of Boston who direct the dance floor with their vinyl crowd teasers.

Nestled in between the Downtown Crossing and Financial District neighborhoods of Boston, you will find The Good Life: full lunch/dinner/bar/lounge experience. Catering primarily to the business lunch during the day, when the sun sets The Good Life serves up delicious fare for dinner as one heck of a good time. The first level of the newly renovated and family owned establishment contains a bar and dining room but down one level is the Afterlife lounge: home to over 150 frozen vodkas (kept at 10°)and DJs spinning quality music from all genres most days of the week. The Good Life has a vodka for everyone. From flavored, potato, and regular distilled, they are primarily from countries like Russia, Poland, and Antarctica. However, you can even find quality American vodka in their growing collection. The full dinner menu is also available in the Afterlife lounge.
Although mostly known for serving up fun times, sophisticated cocktails, and nightly entertainment, The Good Life also serves up interesting and appetizing fare. Open for lunch and dinner, the menu consists of everything from the lauded tuna tartare and crispy salmon, to "not your mom's meatloaf", and classic fish and chips. They also have a variety of pizzas, sandwiches, appetizers, and sides.
The Good Life believes in supporting local artists by showcasing their art on the walls, which are available for purchase. Entertainment is a large part of the scene here with DJ's performing throughout the month. The music selection ranges from down tempo electronic, deep sexy house, mash ups, rock ‘n' roll, reggae, funk & soul, dub step, and hip hop. Private parties are a popular option as the Good Life can accommodate food, drink, and music for up to 200 people. Their Event Coordinator, Callie Laquidara, will prepare an event catered to your needs utilizing the Good Life's dynamic space. The downstairs Vodka Lounge is a more intimate setting and more suitable for larger groups. This area was created for a more private space with more of a cocktail and small plate backdrop. The upstairs dining room is the perfect location for smaller events.

Boston's young consulting crowd never looked better in this dimly-lit downtown watering hole. Swank and surprisingly stentorian Vinalia (Latin for Festival of Wines) is part upscale restaurant and part wine bar that serves Mercer fare at Baine prices. The Crab Fritters with Napa Cabbage Cole Slaw ($12) and Steak Tartare ($10) are traditional introductions to the sumptuous Lobster Risotto ($27) and Veal Chop ($34), and the desserts (chocolate molten cake $7) are pedestrian but delicious. Satisfy your enological pursuits with any one of the array of international wines by the bottle and glass—ask you server for recommendations.

Dining. drinking. lounging. in style. Located in the heart of the theatre district, Caprice offers a tantalizing menu with unique French Mediterranean flair. Forget about finding a place to park when the Wang Center has a show--pricey lots and the T are your best bets.
Spee members will feel right at home at Caprice, which attracts a chic international crowd. Come here to schmooze and be seen in one of 3 separate bar areas. A DJ spins downstairs W-Sa at 10:30pm; for a more laid-back atmosphere, head to their 2 pool tables upstairs ($20/hr) or lounge in comfy chairs by the huge front windows. Super-expensive drinks (wine $8+, beer $6, mixed drinks $10+) make Caprice the place to come once you've landed that cushy I-banking job. Brazilian/Latin Su, “Buddha Lounge” M. Appropriate dress required. No cover.

} Underbar is a natural evolutionfollowing the success of the "powerful" Super Clubs and their intensity in the early 90's, to the love for the more intimate and "home feeling" of the Untra Lounge concept of the late 90's easrly 2000.
Here goes The Super Lounge.
It creates a club feel in a Lounge set up, thanks to Angel Moraes for His creation of the Underbar Sound System (He is the man who gave birth to the Stereo Club killer system in Montreal). Add top notch VIP service and a perfect cultural mix of lovely people driven by the same love for Fashion and Music and you've got the UNDERBAR.
